This view at Dead Horse State Park is so overwhelmingly beautiful. Stunning clouds, rock formations and the Colorado River 2,000 feet below - I could paint here for weeks. The big dark cloud overhead had me shivering. I was battling fierce wind and finally needed to take down my easel in fear of it toppling over. I was interrupted! The last thing I wanted was a scattering of colorful (expensive) broken pastels all over the viewpoint platform that I was standing on.
